This 3-day safari takes you deep into the heart of Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest protected wilderness area, known for its powerful waterfalls, rich savannah landscapes, and abundant wildlife. The experience combines classic game drives, a Nile boat cruise, and a visit to the dramatic Murchison Falls viewpoint for a well-rounded safari adventure.
Day 1: Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park
After an early breakfast in Entebbe, you will begin your journey north toward Murchison Falls National Park. The drive takes you through Uganda’s scenic countryside, passing vibrant rural communities, roadside markets, and rolling landscapes that reveal everyday life in the Pearl of Africa.
A lunch stop is made along the way before entering the park in the afternoon. Upon arrival, you will proceed to the Top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile River squeezes through a narrow gorge before plunging down in a powerful roar. This viewpoint offers one of the most dramatic and memorable sights in Uganda.
Later, continue to your lodge for check in, relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the wilderness.
Day 2: Game Drive and Nile Boat Safari
Begin the day with an early morning game drive on the northern sector of the park, where wildlife is most active. Expect to encounter elephants, giraffes, lions, buffaloes, antelopes, and a variety of bird species as you explore the open savannah plains.
Return to the lodge for breakfast and some rest before heading out for an afternoon boat safari on the Nile. This scenic cruise takes you upstream to the base of Murchison Falls, offering close encounters with hippos, crocodiles, and elephants along the riverbanks, as well as numerous water birds in their natural habitat.
The boat experience combined with the sound of the rushing Nile creates one of the most unforgettable moments of the safari.
Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.
Day 3: Murchison Falls to Entebbe
After breakfast, you will check out and begin the journey back to Entebbe. The drive offers more scenic views of Uganda’s countryside, with optional stops along the way for photos or refreshments.
Upon arrival in Entebbe, your guide will ensure all your belongings are accounted for before transferring you to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your safari experience.
