6 Day Tanzania Luxury Safari

This 6-day northern Tanzania safari offers a comprehensive journey through the region’s most iconic national parks, including Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater. It is designed for travelers who want a deep and varied safari experience, combining rich wildlife encounters, dramatic landscapes, and unforgettable moments across Tanzania’s legendary wilderness.

Day 1: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast at 8:00 am, you will be picked up from your hotel and depart for Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem known for its striking landscapes and abundant wildlife.
The park is defined by its diverse vegetation zones and iconic ancient baobab trees that dominate the horizon. These massive trees create a dramatic setting as elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and antelopes move across the savannah.
Tarangire is especially famous for hosting some of the largest elephant populations in Tanzania, often seen in large family herds along the Tarangire River, the park’s vital water source.
Birdlife is equally impressive, making the park a paradise for birdwatchers.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the river, where wildlife activity is often visible nearby. In the afternoon, you will continue with a game drive before heading to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you will journey across the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day safari experience.
Despite its relatively small size, Lake Manyara offers incredibly diverse scenery, ranging from lush groundwater forests and open grasslands to the shimmering alkaline lake.
The forest is home to baboons and blue monkeys, while the park also supports giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, impalas, and hippos. One of its most famous attractions is the tree-climbing lions, a rare behavior seen in only a few places in Africa.
The lake itself attracts thousands of flamingos and numerous other bird species, creating spectacular photographic opportunities with wildlife set against the Rift Valley escarpment.
Optional activities such as cycling or boat excursions may be available depending on conditions.
In the afternoon, you will transfer to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, you will depart for the world-famous Serengeti National Park.
The journey takes you through the Ngorongoro Highlands, with a stop at the crater rim for a breathtaking view of the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most iconic landscapes.
As you enter the Serengeti, you will immediately understand why its name means “endless plains” in Swahili. Stretching across vast open grasslands, the park is home to millions of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes, forming one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on Earth.
The Serengeti is also renowned for its predators, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. It is one of the best places in Africa to witness predator-prey interactions and dramatic wildlife scenes.
Dinner and overnight stay will be in the Serengeti.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the Serengeti at your own pace.
Your guide will work with you to design the ideal schedule based on wildlife movements and your preferences. You may choose a morning game drive followed by relaxation at camp and an afternoon drive, or opt for a full-day safari with a picnic lunch in the bush.
Each game drive offers new encounters, from large herds of herbivores to active predator sightings. The Serengeti’s vastness ensures that every day feels unique and unpredictable.
Dinner and overnight stay will be in the Serengeti.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
An early morning game drive offers a final chance to witness Serengeti wildlife at its most active, often accompanied by a spectacular sunrise over the plains.
After the drive, you will return to camp for brunch before beginning your journey toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Ngorongoro Crater is one of the natural wonders of the world, formed by a collapsed volcano and now home to an incredible density of wildlife. The crater floor contains grasslands, forests, swamps, and a soda lake, creating a self-contained ecosystem.
It is one of the few places in Africa where you can reliably see the endangered black rhino, alongside elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, flamingos, and countless other species.
Dinner and overnight stay will be near the crater rim.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater and Return to Arusha
After an early breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive.
The crater floor offers one of the most concentrated wildlife experiences in Africa, with excellent chances to see lions, hyenas, elephants, wildebeest, zebras, and hippos in a stunning enclosed landscape.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool before continuing with a short afternoon game drive.
Later, you will ascend the crater walls and begin your journey back to Arusha, passing through scenic highlands and rural landscapes.
Arrival in Arusha is expected around 5:00 pm, with drop off at your hotel or airport, marking the end of your safari adventure.
